Parasitic City

This city was done for my last demo reel class at Gnomon School of Visual VFX.
Thanks a bunch to my demo reel teacher Anton Napierala.

This was one of the most frustrating projects done for me because of the scale needed to be done. With great feedback from mentors and friends it turned out great.

Block out was done in Unreal, then moved to Maya for making modular pieces to make the buildings. After that, texturing was done in substance painter and mixer, with a mix of PS if needed, and all were imported to Unreal 4. Small props were made and placed around to give a bit more layering to it. For lighting, I was really inspired by Destiny's 2 European Dead Zone when the lighting transitioned to sunset lighting.
